Floral-woody, unisex. Longevity: 6–8 hours on skin, 24+ hours on clothes. Projection: moderate — noticeable at arm's length, not across the room. 2–3 sprays are enough. Wear it all year round; it's at its best in the evening and in the cold months, when the oud and papyrus come out fuller.

Olfactive Notes

Свежа, зелена българска роза, която постепенно потъмнява: гуаяковото дърво внася дим, а удът и папирусът я завършват сухо и дълбоко.

Bulgarian rose, chamomile, bergamot Top
Top · 0–15 minutes

Bulgarian rose, chamomile, bergamot

The bergamot opens clean and citrusy, but the chamomile immediately tames its sharpness with a soft, herbal feel of apple and hay. The rose is there from the first minute: not sweetish, but fresh, green and peppery — exactly how a real flower smells in the early morning. This is the balcony at the start of the story, where everything is still possible.

Guaiac wood and hedione Heart
Heart · 30 min – 2 hours

Guaiac wood and hedione

After half an hour the hedione opens up the rose, making it ethereal, airy and transparent, far from heavy perfume clichés. Almost at once the guaiac wood breaks through beneath it: dry, resinous and with a delicate hint of smoke. At this point the scent takes a sharp turn from floral to woody. This is the moment when the secret is out and someone won't keep quiet.

Oud and papyrus Base
Base · 2 hours+

Oud and papyrus

After the second hour the oud takes over the base completely — dry, deep and smoky, without the heavy animalic sharpness of traditional Arabian perfumes. The papyrus adds a refined, dusty note of old paper and sun-warmed stone. The rose is still here, but paler now and wrapped in smoke. From here on there is no going back.

(03) Craft

Time is part of the formula.

Forbidden Love stays in maceration for eight weeks after blending. During that time the individual materials bind into one composition, before the perfume is filtered and bottled.

(05) Before you orderThe skeptic in you has questions

The honest answers.

The same ones we give over the phone — not the marketing ones.

01 Why is it called Forbidden Love?

The scent is built entirely on “Romeo and Juliet”. The two sides of the composition are the two families: the Bulgarian rose — light, alive, floral — and the oud with the guaiac wood, which are dry, smoky and dark. In perfumery, rose and oud are considered a difficult pair. That is exactly why we brought them together. The papyrus in the base is the letter that doesn't arrive in time.

02 Is the rose really Bulgarian?

Yes — Rosa damascena from the Rose Valley between Kazanlak and Karlovo. This is not a marketing detail: Bulgarian rose oil is a raw material that the big houses buy from the same region, because there is no substitute with the same profile. The rest of the composition is blended and bottled in Italy.

03 Is it for men or for women?

Unisex, and that's not the polite version of the answer. The rose on top is fresh and peppery, not sweet, and the base of oud, guaiac wood and papyrus is dry and smoky — it pulls the scent far away from a “feminine rose perfume”. On a man's skin it comes out smokier, on a woman's — more floral.

04 How long does it last, honestly?

6–8 hours on skin, 24+ hours on clothes. The projection is moderate — you're noticeable at arm's length, not across the whole office. 2–3 sprays on a pulse point are enough for the day; six “just in case” will do the opposite of what you want.

05 How is Forbidden Love made?

In Italy, in a batch of 200 bottles, with eight weeks of maceration and 23% essence. The rose oil is Bulgarian, from the Rose Valley.

06 Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

The formula is alcohol-based, as with most perfumes. If you react to most colognes or EDTs, you will most likely react to this one too. Test first on the inside of your arm for 24 hours. Not tested on animals. Contains no phthalates.

07 What happens if I don't like it?

You can return it within 30 days of receiving it and we refund the amount. The details are in the return policy.
